5 Things I Learned While in Girl Scouts

Notice the title isn’t “… from Girl Scouts.” This is an important distinction. Some of these are sanctioned by GS, and some are very much not.



If you can’t be on the right side, don’t be on any side.

The voting was done on volume of cheers. We were told that you couldn’t cheer for your own team. So we decided not to cheer for anyone.



If you look pitiful enough, someone will do it for you.

When my crocheted hat wasn’t done and looked like crap, I was allowed to wear one of the good extras to the zoo. This prevented me from continuing to look pitiful.



Sometimes you have to tolerate a meeting to get to the good stuff.

We spent hours in meetings just so we could walk over to the store and buy candy.



Make new friends…

Oh, I just can’t seem to get rid of them.

    This post is great – will put on Stumbleupon, hope that brings a bit of traffic. Your point about meetings holds for almost any organization, although now that we’re all grown up, we don’t even get candy after meetings ๐Ÿ™

      Dinner, drinks, socializing – and then there’s the MEETING. It’s like doing your chores before going to the ball.
